- Assist the Controller in overseeing all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Oversee tax compliance and preparation of tax returns, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist in managing cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification required.
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management roles.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Extensive experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
