    Itinerant Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (ECSE) - Adams 12 Schools (Start August 2024)

    Location: Various Elementary Schools within Adams 12 School District

    We are seeking a passionate and qualified Itinerant Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (ECSE) to join our vibrant school community

    About the Position:

    As an Itinerant ECSE Teacher with Adams 12 Schools, you will play a vital role in supporting young children (birth to age 8) with disabilities across our elementary schools. You will collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to create inclusive learning environments that foster the success of each student.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify students with disabilities within assigned elementary schools.
    • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the educational team.
    • Provide direct instruction and support to students in the general education classroom or a pull-out setting.
    • Partner with general education teachers to modify curriculum and instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
    • Monitor student progress and make data-driven decisions to adjust instruction as needed.
    • Build strong relationships with parents and families to ensure their active participation in their child's education.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood special education.

    Qualifications:

    • Active Colorado Special Education License/Certifications in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) or a related field.
    • Prior experience working with young children with disabilities in a school setting is highly desirable.
    • Strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Commitment to creating inclusive learning environments and fostering student success.
