    Ithaca, NY 14850 – Located in the Finger Lakes, Ithaca is known for its natural beauty, top-rated restaurants, and lively arts and culture scene.


    Healthcare Setting:
    Emergency Department (21 monitored beds, 5 psych safe rooms, 3+ hall beds)


    Assignment Length:
    13-week travel nursing contract (potential for permanent placement)


    Start Date:
    December 16, 2024


    End Date:
    March 17, 2025


    Shift:
    12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week)


    Guaranteed Hours:
    36 hours per week


    Estimated Weekly Salary:
    $2080 - $2220

    Registered Nurse Qualifications

    Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state

    Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience required

    BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

    CPI, NIHSS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications preferred

    Excellent communication, conflict resolution, time management, and organizational skills

    Ability to float to Med/Surg or ICU as needed

    Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

    Deliver direct patient care and family support within the full RN scope of practice

    Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate emergency patient care programs and services

    Collect and assess patient data, plan individualized care, and evaluate patient outcomes

    Coordinate patient flow and staff assignments as Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department

    Receive pre-arrival EMS reports and coordinate with triage and house supervisors

    Collaborate with ward clerks, provider staff, ED techs, RNs, and crisis evaluators

    Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment in a high-acuity emergency setting
