    Transdev is hiring for a variety of Automotive and Diesel Mechanics positions in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. As a Fleet Maintenance Technician with Transdev, you will help maintain and repair vehicles to ensure customer safety. You will be working on 30-40 foot transit buses, 60 foot articulated buses, body on chassis type buses and other vehicles that make up the assigned fleet. Other major job duties include:
  • Complete preventative maintenance inspections (PM's).
  • Complete Repairs on defects found during a PM
  • Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repairs including but not limited to brakes, suspensions, engines, and transmissions.
  • Complete repairs on defects noted during daily vehicle inspections-pre-trip inspections (DVI's)
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately.

  • $25 - $40 per hour based on experience and qualifications (NOT flat rate)
  • A $1,500 initial tool allowance is given upon completion of probation.
  • Flexible scheduling – 8 or 10 hr. day shifts available.

  • Additional hour rate increases for each ASE certification you possess or obtain
  • Additional $1000 annual bonus for being ASE triple master certified
  • Additional $1000 annual bonus for being ASE quad master certified

  • Qualifications for Fleet Maintenance Technician
  • Valid driver's license required. CDL Required at some locations. We provide company PAID training to help you obtain your CDL
  • At least 1 year of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair employment experience or a combination of technical school education & experience.
  • Mechanic's toolset
  • ASE certifications preferred. Must be willing to participate in company ASE certification program (company training, testing, and bonuses provided
  • Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
