    Enterprise Resource Planning Business Consultant

    Department/function:
    Navision ERP

    Reporting line:
    IT Senior Manager

    Main purpose of the position:


    The primary role of the ERP Consultant is to contribute to ERP projects and deliverables, focusing on our Bloomington, MN Regional Manufacturing & Sales Operation Center.

    The position manages third-tier incident resolution and drafts and reviews RFCs for system enhancements.

    Tasked with understanding client business needs, the consultant recommends operational improvements and provides escalated application support to super users and end users.

    The role also facilitates effective communication with various stakeholders throughout project & critical support lifecycles.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Monitor the ERP system and make recommendations for improvements.
    Understand the client's business needs and processes.
    Manage third-tier incident and problem resolution.
    Assess and initiate projects and change requests, maintaining compliance with GN IT governance processes.
    Review and test Request for Changes (RFCs) for system enhancements.

    Facilitate communication and coordinate with developers during all stages of project and change request implementation to align with development priorities.

    Ensure seamless handover to the Support team.

    Engage in business consulting with key stakeholders; provide user training and generate or update documentation such as system overviews and Work Instructions (WIs).


    Criteria of success:


    Cultivate positive relationships with key customers to better understand their needs, recognize contributions, and help users enhance their system knowledge.

    Maintain clear and high-quality communication with customers and stakeholders about ongoing tasks, including proposed solutions, resolution timelines, and information requests.

    Resolve third-tier support queries, questions, and issues effectively.
    Back up and support second-tier support queries, questions, and issues as needed.
    Explicitly set expectations for open cases and change requests.
    Capture business requirements and forward them to the correct partners for assessment.

    Stakeholders & Relations (internal and external):
    All employees using Navision in GN, external Navision partners and vendors. Future system will be Dynamics 365 F&O.
    Professional skills

    (requirements):


    Minimum of 3 years of experience as an ERP Consultant, with a preference for those experienced in Microsoft ERPs such as Navision and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

    At least 3 years of experience in ERP Support, again favoring expertise in Microsoft ERPs like Navision and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

    Prior work experience of 2 years or more in a multinational corporation is preferred.
    Relevant Microsoft ERP certifications are a plus.
    Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate high self-motivation.
    Strong focus on customer satisfaction and service orientation.
    Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
    Proactive approach with a strong drive for achieving performance goals.
    Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
    Flexibility and a strong commitment to keeping systems operational.
    Proficiency in English, including speaking, writing, understanding, and reading.
    Must be comfortable sitting or standing for extended durations.
    Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

    Location:
    Onsite at (Bloomington MN) as part of a global IT organization collaborating with colleagues onsite and across regions (APAC, EMEA, AMER)
    Schedule

    Typically, Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

    Travel Requirements:
    Less than 15 days per year for Training purposes
