Description

Wiss is seeking a Senior Tax Associate, High Net Worth to join their growing Tax Practice in Florham Park, NJ.

The candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with Tax leadership on supporting our High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth client base and serve as an integral member of our overall Family Office offering.

This position will reside in Florham Park, NJ, but candidates will be afforded a permanent hybrid work arrangement.

Core Responsibilities:
Prepare complex individual, trust, and gift tax returns
Prepare complex individual and High Net Worth tax returns at Federal and State levels
Review semi-complex individual, trust, and gift tax returns prepared by tax staff for accuracy
Research and draft technical guidance involving complex tax matters
Identify tax planning opportunities
Handle and resolve tax controversies
Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
Mentor and develop Tax Staff, including offering training while being an advocate for open communication.


Qualifications/Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
CPA certification or certification in progress
Master of Science in Taxation is a plus
3-5 years of prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting
Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
Possess polished written and verbal communication
Demonstrate exceptional client service with a demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate sustainable client relationships
Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client's management
Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, and strong attention to detail
