    Description


    You will design enclosures for a variety of new products that include rugged laptops and embeddedcomputer systems to meet customer requirements and environmental standards.

    This position isfunctionally responsible for product development, and mechanical design for current and futurerugged products in the commercial, military, and airborne marketplace.

    You will be part of thedevelopment team creating designing products from concept through production.

    The position is involvedin the different aspects of mechanical engineering, such as the investigation of product failures, settingup and conducting tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigatedesign attributes or other factors, or to obtain data for, production, development, standardization, andquality control.

    You will be involved in wire harness design, connector selection, and design formanufacturability as well.

    . * Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related field) * Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer Must possess superior mechanical engineering and communication skills and be capable of interacting with all engineering disciplines. * Can work collaboratively and independently. * Must be proficient in industry standard 2D and 3D mechanical design tools (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, etc.). * Experience in designing metal enclosures and gaskets. * Experience in mechanical design/packaging to meet temperature, shock, vibration, and EMI requirements. * Must have experience in taking designs from conception to production. * Ability to research solutions and apply advanced tools and techniques to resolve engineering challenges. * Ability to organize, schedule, budget and coordinate work phases, excellent time management skills. * Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to interface with internal employees, external customers, vendors, and be able to accurately document, report and present. * Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Project, Visio, Excel & PowerPoint); proficient experience using internal ERP systems.
