    Job Description

    Daikin-TMI is a leading industry provider of HVAC equipment and integrated building control solutions. Due to continued growth, we have an immediate need for an experienced Control Systems Design Specialist. In this role, you will design customized control systems for our clients using your expertise.

    You will use AutoCAD to prepare temperature control system wiring and installation drawings, wiring diagrams, and data sheets to present to our clients for review. Your tasks may include:

    • Designing systems based on bid proposals and design documents and specifications
    • Timely execution of CAD drawings
    • Making system design decisions to improve function and performance while keeping within the project scope
    • Researching and selecting products required for a complete and operational system
    • Soliciting bids from suppliers for job components and assessing bids based on job needs and requirements
    • Engaging and communicating with the project team to understand project scope, requirements, and schedule
    • Providing excellent customer service and experience
    • Maintaining design documentation for all projects assigned to you
    • Participating in training and job meetings as required
    • Following standard operating procedures, established work processes, and Company policies
    • Collaborating with the Control System Design Engineers team to assist them in job-related tasks

    Key Requirements:

    • Strong design software skills (CAD, MS Office primarily Word and Excel)
    • Accuracy with numbers and details
    • Willingness to travel for training and projects as needed
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    Experience:

    • 5-7 years of experience in building controls/automation systems design
    • Experience in construction, primarily Temperature Controls, HVAC, or Electrical fields

    Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

    Work Environment:

    • This position requires minimal traveling, up to 10% of the time
    • The ability to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
