    **Description**

    **JOB SUMMARY:**

    To perform necessary duties to purchase materials, supplies, spares, equipment, services, component repair and overhaul as required by a wide variety of procurement categories. Prepares RFPs, negotiates with suppliers, participates in supplier selection and contract. Deal directly with suppliers and internal customers to provide exceptional customer service.

    **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**

    Issues Request for Proposals (RFPs) supporting US Government and International programs in FAR 15 and commercial contracting environments

    Performs price analysis reports, examination of supplier proposals, and coordination of USG/customer flow downs to suppliers during new contract and engineering change proposal contracting activities.

    Supports internal and external procurement system audits by the USG or other organizations

    Negotiates with vendors to obtain economical prices, quantities, delivery dates, and establish improved procurement programs according to Textron Aviation specifications, production schedules, material requirements, and company policies and procedures

    Initiates and approves purchase orders and subcontracts in SAP, Ariba and SAP e-sourcing. Reviews receiving reports to determine status and follow-ups on supplier commitments to assure contract compliance. Negotiate/Administer Long Term Agreements and Pricing Agreements as required

    Provides purchasing cost savings by developing alternate supplier sources, material substitutes, improved material handling, storing, transporting methods, and purchasing techniques

    Compiles and maintains a reference file pertaining to items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventory via the use of established departmental reporting methods

    Complies with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures, import/export regulations, and employs sound business practice.

    Working with appropriate management personnel, reviews inadequacies and irregularities in purchased materials and help establish applicable corrective action

    Negotiates direct and indirect procurement buys and agreements relating to Government aircraft and service programs

    **EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:**

    Bachelors degree required in Supply Chain, Business or related field

    **Qualifications**

    **QUALIFICATONS:**

    Good computer skills including Microsoft Office

    Strong written and verbal communication

    SAP Experience preferred

    US Government procurement experience preferred

    Strong analytical skills

    Attention to detail, goal oriented

    Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time sensitive responsibilities

    Highly motivated

    Ability to work in team environment
