    We are actively seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing analysis, forecasting, and reporting of the company's results across all lines of business.

    The Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A will function as a lead analyst in partnership with senior leaders of GeoBlue, identifying business trends and drivers and recommending actions.

    The Senior Financial Analyst will assist in the development and ongoing execution of monthly/quarterly financial reporting and analytics and executive presentations.

    This role will also be responsible for working with Technology (Claims Data Mart), Underwriting, and Actuarial.

    This position collaborates closely with the Director – Financial Planning & Analysis to provide data, analysis, and recommendations to realize the company's strategic goals as part of the annual strategic planning process.

    Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in leading and supporting key strategic initiatives and projects across the company.


    Responsibilities:
    Establish detailed analysis on the Medical Loss Ratio.

    Institute a process for understanding the claims data prior period, current results, and forecasting future periods; develop reporting requirements, identify anomalies, trends, and analysis of the results.

    Develop, prepare, analyze, and review financial reports on a

    weekly/monthly/annual

    basis.
    Process improvements on reporting – streamline data.
    Establish quality analytics, KPIs to drive business decisions, productivity – variance analysis for operating expenses, headcount, and projects.
    Support the Product Profitability Model and analysis – line of business analysis.

    Conduct ad hoc analysis and build financial models to inform the team on operating strategies, investment recommendations, and new business opportunities.

    Finance business partner to internal customers, cost center leaders, participate in operational discussions, providing guidance, support, and analysis in their achievement of business and financial objectives.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; MBA or other advanced degree or certification a plus.
    At least 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or other analytical roles.
    Health insurance background is a must.
    Must have experience with reporting on results of claims data within the health insurance business.
    Strong knowledge of accounting principles and business processes and procedures, which may include technical expertise in a functional area.

    Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment, excellent project management skills, and ability to communicate effectively with a senior leadership team.

    Experience performing complex financial modeling and analysis.
    Ability to successfully manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
    Excellent people skills and dedication to preserving a team environment.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Advanced Excel skills required.
    Experience working with , Adaptive Insights, or other reporting and planning applications preferred.

    Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.

    Employee is required to have at minimum an internet speed of 75 Mbps (standard high-speed internet access).


    Working Conditions:
    Flexibility to work in an office and/or at-home, remote office environment.
    Schedule flexibility is occasionally necessary in this position. Individual may be required to attend key

    business/departmental

    meetings and/or perform certain business critical job functions outside of normal working hours.

    Physical Demands:
    Must be able to communicate internally and externally through receiving and responding to auditory and visual methods.

    Internal Pay Grade: 10


    The starting pay for this role is $66,023 to $84,179 based on skill level and experience in a similar role.
