    Department Overview


    Following the Information Systems Framework, the Systems Administrator II works as part of a collaborativeInfrastructure team to configure, manage and support infrastructure platform technologies with a focus onmaintaining system integrity and security for business operations as well as implementing system enhancementswith the goal of maximizing value for business stakeholders.

    And performs other duties as assigned.


    Responsibilities & RequirementsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    Provide prompt support to customer issues, identifying the root cause and developing creative solutions tocorrect problems. Document all fixes and communicate the resolution of issues to affected users.


    • Escalate issues to subject matter expert team members, consult vendor support on escalated issues andcollaborate with other IS teams to resolve as needed. Implement configuration changes to resolveidentified problems.
    • Be consulted as subject matter expert on alerts and trends to help team maintain optimal systemperformance of assigned systems.
    • Work with junior members of the team to monitor functionality, perform preventative maintenance,troubleshoot, and tune system configurations using industry best practice.
    • Evaluate and develop system changes that improve the workflow and productivity of customer processes.
    Continually review, recommend, and implement process improvement ideas for assigned systems.


    • Collaborate closely with IS stakeholders, business stakeholders, architects, and vendors on performance ofassigned technologies and requirements for new projects and technology strategies.
    • Participates or lead through upgrades and team specific projects to develop and deploy new technologies.
    • Works in conjunction with Sr. team members and Information Security team to establish governance oftechnology and maintains appropriate policies and levels of security for Kettering Health InfrastructurePlatforms
    • Develop and maintain system support documentation and technical specifications of assigned technologiesincorporating current standards and procedures.
    • Participate in the on-call schedule to provide systems administration support during off hours.
    • Participate in designing, writing and maintaining scripts to automate repetitive and redundant manualprocesses and to streamline other processes.
    • Participate in educating divisional/business customers and team members as needed through the followingmethods:o Conduct pair programming events to train otherso Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions
    • Identify self-training opportunities and/or conferences that align with yearly goals
    • Perform systems administration I duties as required


    Preferred QualificationsPreferred experience in Epic Client Systems Administration with a focus on supporting Epic client deployment, Epic printing, WebBLOB and BCA services.


    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Minimum Education:
    Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience
    Minimum Work Experience:

    3+ years of relevant systems support/administration experience required. Experience within healthcare organizations preferred.

    Working knowledge and experience with the following:

    • Network and server operating systems
    • Server and database administration tasks
    • Network and storage administration and related management utilities
    • Remote access configuration
    • Policy-based management
    • Cloud administration
    • Virtualization
    • Working with modern APIs (REST)
    • Scripting and automation (PowerShell)
    • Disaster recovery protocols

    Required Licenses:
    Obtain applicable certifications when required or if needed be able to obtain within 1 year of hire.

    Microsoft 365 Certified:
    Windows Server Hybrid Administrator | Azure Administrator | ModernDesktop Administrator

    • RedHat Certified Systems Administrator
    • Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA)
    • Epic Client Systems Administration (ECSA)
