    Job Description Job Description Major Gifts OfficerHighly Regarded National NonprofitSouthern California, Fully RemoteSalary: $78,000 to $135,000 per year, based on many factors including experience and location + Bonus PotentialTerrific Major Gifts Officer (MGO) position with a highly regarded national nonprofit.

    The MGO will be responsible for the full lifecycle of fundraising for major gifts of $10k and above primarily from individuals, with some family foundations as well.

    The role will manage a portfolio of major donors, with the assistance of a prospect research team. There will be a significant focus on cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of existing and new donors. In addition, the position will collaborate with regional leadership to maximize resources and drive revenue.

    The MGO will be joining a relatively new major gifts effort that will provide tremendous growth potential, and the chance to assist with designing and implementing best practices.

    Candidates should have a demonstrated track record of securing major gifts, coupled with strong relationship building skills. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of relevant experience.

    The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $135,000 per year, based on many factors including experience and location.

    There is also bonus potential based on organization and individual performance.

    This position is fully remote, and applicants need to reside in the Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange County, or San Diego areas.


    Responsibilities:

    Manage and oversee the full fundraising life cycle for a portfolio of major gifts donors and prospectsCollaborate with local organization leadership to support fundraising at the local levelAssist in developing, managing, and supporting development strategies, campaigns, initiatives, and best practicesCreate and present fundraising reportsCollaborate with the marketing department to create fundraising collateralTravel within the region to meet with donors and prospectsQualifications: 5+ of years relevant fundraising experienceBachelor's degree requiredDemonstrated track record of securing at least 5-figure giftsExcellent communication and relationship building skillsAbility to work in a highly collaborative organizationWillingness to travelSelf-motivated, entrepreneurial mindsetRaiser's Edge or similar experienceEqual opportunity employer.
