    Description


    PediatricianMonsey, NY$120,000 - $190,0003 days a week & Fri 8am - 6pmResponsibilities:Medical Diagnosis and Treatment:Conduct thorough physical examinations of infants, children, and adolescents.

    Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions specific to pediatric patients.
    Prescribe medications, therapies, and other medical interventions as necessary.
    Monitor patients' growth and development, identifying and addressing any concerns or abnormalities.


    Preventive Care and Immunization:
    Administer routine vaccinations and immunizations according to established schedules.
    Provide guidance and education to parents and caregivers on preventive healthcare practices, including nutrition, hygiene, and safety measures.
    Conduct developmental screenings and assessments to identify potential issues early and implement appropriate interventions.


    Health Promotion and Education:
    Offer guidance on child and adolescent nutrition, physical activity, and overall lifestyle habits to promote optimal health and well-being.
    Educate parents and caregivers on common childhood illnesses, injuries, and developmental milestones.
    Address concerns related to behavioral and emotional health, including developmental disorders, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders.


    Collaboration and Referral:
    Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
    Coordinate referrals to specialists and allied healthcare providers when necessary for specialized evaluation and treatment.

    Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes for patients.


    Record-Keeping and Documentation:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient, including health history, examination findings, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

    Document patient encounters and treatment outcomes in electronic health records (EHR) or other medical record systems in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.


    Qualifications:
    Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
    Completion of residency training in pediatrics from an accredited residency program.
    Board certification or eligibility in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics or equivalent certifying body.
    State medical license to practice as a pediatrician.
    Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric medicine, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of common childhood illnesses and conditions.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, parents, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
    Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and advocating for the health and well-being of pediatric patients and their families.
