    Duration: June 1 - August 31, 2024 (with option to extend based on performance)

    Compensation: Paid $16-$18/hr

    Time Commitment: 30-40 hours per week

    The Role:

    We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Digital Marketing Intern to join our team this summer. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing strategies and tactics while contributing to real projects that impact our company's growth. This role will be specifically focused on our North American Age Group events including, but not limited to, The Chicago Triathlon and Long Beach Legacy Triathlon.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in developing and implementing digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email, and web.
    • Create engaging content including social media posts, blog articles, email newsletters, and social video.
    • Monitor and track campaign performance using analytics tools to evaluate effectiveness and optimize strategies.
    • Support the marketing team in day-to-day tasks and administrative duties as needed.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, audience insights, and competitive landscape.
    • Assist marketing team on site during race weekends: July 20-21, 2024 and August 24-25, 2024

    Requirements:

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
    • Strong interest in digital marketing with basic knowledge of digital marketing principles and techniques.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content tailored to different audiences.
    • Proficiency in using social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) and familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
    • Proactive attitude, eager to learn, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Previous internship experience or coursework related to digital marketing is a plus, but not required.
