    Develop innovative applications for the US Nuclear Detection System
    Support front-end User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) efforts and web development activities
    Meet with the team to discuss work progress and brainstorm solutions
    Support both large software ground systems plus low technology readiness level work that is very fast-paced
    Salary Range
    $75,900 - $146,200

    Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

    Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field
    Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
    Qualifications We Desire

    UI/UX web development
    Cloud technologies
    Continuous Improvement/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline
    Configuration Management
    Orbital mechanics
    Containerization (Docker preferred)

    Ability to obtain SCI clearance, which may require a polygraph
    About Our Team
    Department 6361 develops operational monitoring software in supports of the US and International nuclear monitoring and non-proliferation mission.

    From basic research and development to fully deployed operational data processing and analysis systems, the department specializes in software feature development, geophysics, seismology/infrasound, machine learning, big data analytics, algorithm development and data analysis.

    This department is currently responsible for the National Data Center Modernization and the design and engineering of systems supporting Proliferation Assessment.

    Posting Duration

    Security Clearance

    Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.

    Applicants for employment need to be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.

    Applicants offered employment with Sandia are subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance.

    NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs
