    Rockstar New York is on the lookout for an intern who possesses a passion for securing the Rockstar environment, specifically focusing on vulnerability management or SaaS security.

    This position is a paid, fixed term contract position running for 10 weeks from early June 2024 to mid-August 2024.

    This is a full-time position, with the expectation of a 40-hour work week. The successful candidate will work in Rockstar's NYC headquarters in downtown Manhattan.

    WHAT WE DO


    The Rockstar Security team is responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Rockstar's sensitive intellectual property and data.

    We foster a security culture across all teams and disciplines at Rockstar, providing policy, standards, guidance, and awareness training to everyone.

    We work closely with departments across the company to understand their workflows and help ensure they are following best security practices.

    We work with technology stakeholders to assess our posture, build controls, and mitigate security risks.
    Our team is on the front-line of monitoring, detecting, and responding to security related incidents.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Engage in project-based learning and achieve well scoped goals based on guidance and support from Leads and team members.
    Work closely with IT and business teams on remediation and mitigation activities.
    Track, document, and validate vulnerability remediation in our ticket management and CMDB systems.
    Manage vulnerability reporting and metrics, including status updates for different stakeholders.
    Troubleshoot issues with vulnerability management tools and resources.

    QUALIFICATIONS


    This internship is intended for undergraduate students, graduate students, or recent graduates who have completed coursework in cybersecurity, security operations, security engineering, or a related field.

    Applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

    SKILLS
    Strong understanding of the principles of vulnerability management.

    Deep familiarity with the security of common infrastructure technologies that support a software development studio: Windows, Linux, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Visual Studio, Perforce (or distributed version control), VMware & enterprise virtualization, related storage, network and server platforms Experience working in interdisciplinary teams.

    Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities, including the ability to apply technically oriented concepts.
    Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
    Excellent writing skills.

    PLUSES
    Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.
    Experience with scripting and process automation.
    Experience with penetration testing and offensive security techniques.
    Industry certifications preferred (CISSP, GSEC, OSCP, CEH, etc.)
    Familiarity with Rockstar products.

    The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per hour.

    However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.

    Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.

    NY Hourly Pay Range
    $32 — $34 USD
