    Responsibilities

    The Chief Accounting Officer will be a strategic leader within the Bank responsible for the oversight of accounting policy and implementation. A successful Chief Accounting Officer will accomplish this while collaborating with cross-functional teams and provide strategic direction to EagleBank to best support financial accounting and timely reporting which supports key decision-making. This position reports to and the Chief Financial Officer - EagleBank and works closely with the full Senior Staff to support the overall strategies and goals of Eagle Bancorp.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or related discipline.
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
    • Proficiency in complex accounting systems and determining accounting treatment.
    • 15+ years of accounting experience.
    • 5+ years of SEC reporting.
    • Extensive Financial Institution experience including managerial roles and executive or board level presentations.
    • Ability to align financial planning strategies with overall business goals.
    • Advanced analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights to senior leaders.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to senior leaders.
    • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
    • Strong knowledge of banking as it pertains to performance metrics, regulatory metrics and peer analysis.
    • Strong knowledge of bank financial statements.

    Preferences:

    • Advanced degree preferred (Master's or MBA).
    • At least 4 years with a public accounting firm.
