    Description

    I.


    Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:

    • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of personality types.
    • Ability to effectively communicate verbally or in writing, and ability to speak and present in an effective manner.
    • Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
    • Adaptable to changing member services requirements; including scheduling flexibility, self-motivating, and ability to multi-task on different levels.
    • Must participate in activities as assigned by Branch Vice President and/or Operations Managers to achieve branch and/or individual sales goals. Includes telemarketing, in-branch promos, cross-selling and up-selling.
    • Ability to perform accurate complex input/output functions on the credit union computer systems that relates to account, loan, and general ledger postings.
    • Provide members with general and specific new account and/or loan information.
    • Evaluate new account/loan request, using all sources available, such as ChexSystems and credit reports.
    • Interview new account/loan applicant to determine the nature of the new account/loan request.
    • Assure completeness and accuracy of all new accounts and loan applications. Evaluate and submit recommendations to clarify forms and/or processes and/or improve efficiency.
    • Open intermediate new accounts such as Individual, Joint, Minor, Business, and CUTMA as needed.
    • Accept and review all loan product applications for submission to lending department.
    • Accept and review all real estate loan applications for submission to real estate department.
    • Accept and process basic IRA transactions.
    • Coordinate with Branch Vice President to promote and meet all assigned sales goals. Take active leadership role in promotions and sales training activities.
    • Successful completion of FSA, I and II required training courses per the Career Path Program or as specified by SVP/RVP.
    • Must be able to travel and work at other branches as business needs dictate, sometimes on short notice.
    • Must be able to travel to different locations to attend training classes.
    • Must at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
    • Provide accurate, prompt, courteous and efficient service to credit union members.
    • Maintain a satisfactory performance record; including balancing, attendance, and sales referrals.
    • Performance of daily duties in compliance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Inform members about additional credit union products and services.
    • Must achieve assigned individual sales goals and actively participate in all branch efforts to meet or exceed assigned production goals.
    • Maintain security of all cash, deposited items, and negotiable instruments.
    • Answer the telephone in accordance with established phone answering sequence, using an established greeting and adhering to a service quality script.
    • Must ensure that each interaction with members and co-workers is polite, professional, and respectful at all times.
    • Successful completion of FSA I required training courses per the Training Development Department or as specified by SVP/RVP.
    • Additional duties as assigned.

    • Reach across the teller station counter to comfortably count out/hand cash to members

    Qualifications

    III. Qualifications

    The position qualifications are as follows:

    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Must be familiar with basic computer functions and programs.
    • Previous cash handling experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs preferred.
    • Successful completion of required training courses per the Career Path Program.
    • Required training courses must be completed within specified training period or as scheduled by SVP/RVP.


    Starting pay is $ $26.00 an hour depending on experience along with a great choice of benefits for full-time and part-time employees.
