Our client is seeking a Financial and Accounting Controller (Specialist level) to join a their manufacturing organization based in Dallas, Texas.
This position is for someone who excels in delivering financial clarity and insightful analysis.The Financial and Accounting Controller assume a central role in safeguarding the integrity of financial records, supporting strategic decision-making, and fostering collaboration with colleagues across international borders.
Key Responsibilities:
In the capacity of Financial and Accounting Controller (Specialist level) based in Dallas, Texas, you will play an instrumental role in shaping the plant's financial well-being by providing meticulous accounting records, incisive analyses, and dependable reporting.
Your daily undertakings will encompass budget preparation, expenditure monitoring, support of month-end closings, product cost calculation, as well as the provision of critical financial insights to senior management.
You will engage extensively with cross-functional teams both locally and internationally-particularly with colleagues in Mexico-to ensure adherence to all pertinent regulations whilst championing process improvements.
Success in this role necessitates not only technical acumen but also refined interpersonal abilities to communicate intricate financial matters clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Your collaborative approach will foster an atmosphere of trust, transparency, and collective accomplishment.Maintain comprehensive accounting records to ensure all financial documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with both internal policies and external regulations.
Oversee monthly and annual financial closing activities, ensuring the timely completion of all requisite reports and statements.Prepare tax settlements, declarations, and statutory financial statements in strict accordance with United States legislation and company protocols.
Formulate budgets and forecasts, monitor their execution throughout the fiscal year, conduct detailed variance analyses, and provide lucid explanations for any deviations observed.
Assume responsibility for both local financial reporting obligations and group-level requirements, including the preparation of management reports for senior leadership.
Support month-end closing processes by identifying opportunities for automation and process optimization to enhance operational efficiency.Monitor expenditure control mechanisms meticulously to identify cost-saving opportunities whilst preserving operational effectiveness.
Calculate product costs with precision and deliver comprehensive profitability analyses to inform business decisions at the plant level.
Produce ad-hoc analyses and actionable financial insights for senior management to guide strategic planning and operational enhancements.
Collaborate constructively with internal and external auditors during audits, ensuring all requested information is furnished promptly and accurately.
Key Requirements:
The ideal Financial and Accounting Controller (Specialist level) brings demonstrable experience from positions involving accounting or financial controlling within manufacturing environments.
Your professional history includes direct engagement with ERP systems such as SAP alongside advanced utilization of Excel for constructing robust models.
You possess comprehensive knowledge of United States tax law complemented by practical experience preparing budgets, managing month-end closes, conducting variance analyses, supporting audits, and optimizing processes.
Beyond technical proficiency, your interpersonal strengths are evident when elucidating complex concepts or collaborating harmoniously across cultures-especially when interacting with international teams.

Demonstrated proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP) together with advanced Excel skills for financial modelling is essential for success in this post.
A thorough understanding of United States tax regulations and compliance requirements ensures adept navigation of complex legal frameworks.Exceptional analytical capabilities coupled with scrupulous attention to detail enable the delivery of accurate reports within stringent deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills facilitate the efficient management of multiple priorities whilst maintaining exemplary standards of quality.
Outstanding communication skills are necessary for presenting complex financial data clearly to managers who may not possess a finance background.
Experience supporting audit processes-including effective liaison with internal/external auditors-is highly valued.Flexibility to collaborate across international teams (including potential travel) demonstrates your commitment to teamwork on a global scale.
