Description
Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Patient Accounts Representative to join our Patient Accounts Department.CMH Hospital Patient Accounts coordinates the collection of the hospital accounts on a timely basis to generate cash flow to levels that are compatible with the hospital mission.
A typical day will include:
Assisting with patient account functions; audits insurance claims for accuracy; communicates with the coding department and authorization/referral teams as needed; completes all workflow queues in a timely manner; communicates effectively with insurance companies regarding claim denials, follow up and collections of accounts receivable; and performs duties as assigned by the Billing Supervisor; behaves in a manner consistent with the mission and objectives of CMH and performs other duties as requested

Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalentExperience: six months to one year experience in clerical and collection work
