    Job Title: Computer Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Computer Engineer all levels to join the development team in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) (GMD) system integration, test, and readiness (SITR) Program. Position is located in Huntsville, AL

    The computer engineer is a professional who specializes in designing and developing computer systems and networks. This field encompasses a wide range of skills and knowledge, combining elements of both electrical engineering and computer science. Computer engineers work on the hardware and software aspects of computer systems, ensuring that they function efficiently and effectively. The job will encompass: (1) Hardware Design and Development, (2) Software Development, (3) Computer Networking, (4) Embedded Systems (5) System Integration, (6) Cybersecurity and (7) Computer Architectures

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's in Computer Engineering or related scientific field;
    • DoD Secret Clearance prior to start
    Computer Engineer 4: General experience must include 8 years directly related experience and 5 years in management or leadership roles. Supervisory / leadership role. Directs all design and prototyping of computing devices, systems, networks, data storage, media, frameworks and related technologies. Authorizes development and/or procurement of computer hardware and peripheral devices. Co-chairs, with other technical leads, overarching IPTs that manage and evaluate systemic requirements. Baselines the program's technology refresh and support requirements. Applies an enterprise-wide set of disciplines and processes for planning, analyzing, designing, constructing, and implementing information engineering for complex systems. Ensures technological rigor in the analysis and computational techniques and methodologies for problem solutions. Familiarity with industry best practices for distributed computing and grid-based computing.

    User/Manager with familiarity in one or more of the following programming applications/domains:

    C++, Java, Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), (ISC)2 Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) Red Hat; knowledge of modern software development techniques e.g. AGILE

    Computer Engineer 3: General experience must include 6 years directly related experience and 3 years in management or leadership roles. Same technical requirements as CE4.

    Computer Engineer 2: General experience must include 4 years directly related experience. Implements design and prototyping of computing devices, systems, networks, data storage, media, frameworks and related technologies. Applies fundamental and state- of-art techniques and analysis to solve computationally-intensive problems. Recommends development and/or procurement of computer hardware and peripheral devices. Interfaces with other technical specialties to incorporate systemic requirements. Evaluates and recommends technology refresh and support requirements. Applies an enterprise-wide set of disciplines and processes for planning, analyzing, designing, constructing, and implementing information engineering for complex systems. Develops analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solutions. Performs process and data modeling in support of the systems planning and analysis efforts, using manual and automated tools. Knowledge of Modeling & Simulation methods: Stochastic modeling, Physics- based modeling, Monte Carlo simulation, Discrete event simulation, Continuous simulation. Knowledge of Simulation implementation: Modeling and simulation life- cycle, Modeling and simulation standards, Conceptual modeling, Verification

    Computer Engineer 1: General experience must include 2 years directly related experience. Assists in design and prototyping of computing devices, systems, networks, data storage, media, frameworks and related technologies. Same technical requirements as CE2
