    Role Overview

    We seek a detail-oriented and skilled Engineering CAD Design Technician to join our Water Resources Engineering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings and plans for civil engineering projects related to water resources.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties

    • Collaborate with engineers to develop sound engineering project designs and ensure seamless project execution.
    • Work closely with engineers to understand project requirements and apply CAD software to create accurate and detailed technical drawings and designs.
    • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop detailed engineering drawings, including:
      • Processing survey data
      • Setting up plan sheets and sheet set manager
      • Developing grading plans, surfaces, and volume analysis
      • Creating alignments, profiles, cross sections, and details
    • Maintain organized records of project files, drawings, and revisions to ensure efficient project management.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with teams, including project managers, surveyors, and engineers, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
    • Stay current with advancements in CAD technology and software to enhance job performance and efficiency.

    Requirements and Skills

    AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is essential for this role.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Drafting or engineering degree
    • 5+ years' experience working in the engineering industry on civil projects
