Job Summary:

Under the direction of the OR Manager, the lead anesthesia tech will advance the training and skill set of the support personnel and thus improves the department's capabilities to support complex cases and higher volumes of cases.

They coordinate work assignments for Anesthesia Techs and serve as a mentor to Anesthesia technical staff.

The lead will participate in the orientation of newly hired Anesthesia Technical staff and assist with quality control and maintenance of equipment.

Performs all functions of Certified Anesthesia Technologist.


Job Duties:
Oversees day to day work of Anesthesia Tech group.
Assists in developing and maintaining anesthesia services.
Provides anesthesia equipment and supply support in patient care areas.
Maintains a clean, safe, environment in patient care and support areas.

Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to:

respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.

Ensures that technical staff are responding in a timely fashion to all requests by the anesthesia care provider.
Performs other related duties as required.


Qualifications:
High School diploma required4 years of experience requiredBLS certification preferredCertified Anesthesia Technician preferred
