    Our Farmington Hills, Michigan office has an opportunity for an experienced Manager of Civil Municipal Engineering who leads by our core principles – "understand our customers and satisfy their needs, do what we say we are going to do and have fun."

    The ideal candidate will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of F&V's highly skilled professionals and provide clients with high-quality deliverables on time and on budget.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead business development activities, budgeting, proposal preparation, and contract execution.
    • Manage and oversee budgets and analyze project profitability and revenue.
    • Serve as a Project Manager of municipal projects, specifically the design and construction of water main, sanitary and storm sewers, and roads and sidewalks, as well as the oversight of numerous related studies including water reliability studies, feasibility studies, and the development of capital improvement plans.
    • Supervise and support team members including career development and performance.
    • Develop and maintain positive team, client, and contractor relationships.
    • Wear whichever hat is necessary to effectively lead the team and serve our clients and communities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering and a Michigan PE registration required.
    • Minimum 15 years of municipal consulting work experience; 10 years' progressive management experience.
    • Experience in client management, preparing and meeting budgets and schedules.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Expertise in municipal, township and county government practices and regulations.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Bluebeam preferred.
