    Overview

    Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum in assigned teaching areas. Facilitates achievement of school and student outcomes and objectives.

    This position requires a strong foundation in med/surg nursing.

    Responsibilities

    Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the School curriculum which is in consistent with School Philosophy, Graduate Competencies, Objectives and accreditation standards Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Nursing theory content which correlates with course objectives. Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical experiences which correlate with the course objectives. Conducts conferences with students. Attends and participates in Beebe School of Nursing and Beebe Medical Center committees / programs. Participates in recruitment and public relations activities for Beebe School of Nursing and Beebe Medical Center. Assists in assessing need, care, maintenance, and use of department equipment, supplies, and facilities. Requests supplies and equipment as needed. Demonstrates knowledge and competence with technical skills. Demonstrates leadership and role modeling skills. Attends and participates in faculty, student, and alumni activities.

    Qualifications

    A minimum of two years of experience in clinical nursing or nursing education within the past five years. Teaching experience preferred. References must indicate clinical competence and the ability to relate well with peers and supervisors.
