Archaeologist /Subject Matter Expert II.
Eagle Health is an Alaskan Native Company committed to supporting the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) in their environmental and cultural resource management initiatives.
Our collaboration with the BIA involves a wide array of projects focusing on environmental assessments and compliance, deeply impacting tribal lands and communities across the United States.
These critical roles are instrumental in driving forward the mission of the BIA, ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and fostering sustainable development.

Thispart-time position
is eligible for
remote work
with occasional travel, estimated to be two-three trips per quarter, each lasting three-four business days.
The amount of travel cannot be determined at this time, although it is unlikely to be more than two to three trips per quarter.
Experience:
The Archaeologist will provide specialized expertise in reviewing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) packages, especially for complex or original packages for Direct Service Tribes.
Adapt and apply knowledge to various project types, ensuring compliance with environmental and cultural standards.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive project review and documentation.
Familiarity with fieldwork in remote Alaska beneficial.

Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in environmental science or environmental engineering.
Demonstrated experience in technical writing and environmental compliance.
Knowledge of NEPA documentation and procedures.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
