    YOUR ROLE

    As an organization that is focused on empowering families to navigate the aging journey with confidence and a leading provider of long term care insurance, life insurance and annuities, Genworth has a substantial amount of data that supports our business operations and decision making. In the role of lead cloud and data architect, you will provide oversight to a talented team and help shape the future of Genworth's technology capabilities. You will help move our business into its next phase of growth, create responsive solutions to the changing data needs of our internal customers and leverage an evolving technology landscape.

    What you will be doing

    •Provide technical and organizational leadership to a team of solution engineers and data engineers

    •Oversee implementation of cloud migration initiatives that integrate large and complex data sets

    •Partner with business stakeholders to prioritize and deliver tactical business value while supporting strategic technology goals

    •Evaluate and recommend new technologies in accordance with business needs

    •Create sustainable design patterns and solution architecture

    •Integrate cloud-based and citizen-developer capabilities with existing technologies

    •Recommend and participate in implementation of best practices for cloud resource optimization

    What you bring

    •Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Data Management, or related discipline

    •3 or more years of experience implementing cloud technologies

    •2 or more years in technical leadership roles

    •5 or more years of data modeling and design experience with analytical and transactional data

    •Hands-on development experience using OLAP and OLTP platforms

    •Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

    •Ability to effectively manage competing priorities

    •If remote, must be willing to travel to Genworth office 1 to 2 times a month

    Preferred but not required:

    •Advanced degree in Information Technology, Data Management, or related discipline

    •Experience with Greenplum technology and Informatica

    •Knowledge of insurance products
