    Description


    Summary You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Naval Systems Engineering Directorate, Readiness and Logistics (SEA 05R), Logistics Policy and Human Capital Division (SEA 05R1) of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.

    You will provide readiness and logistics leadership, expertise, and impactful solutions to support NAVSEA priorities. Responsibilities You will perform and coordinate Logistics Human Capital activities for the NAVSEA Enterprise. You will be the alternate Functional Area Manager for Life Cycle Logistics (LCL). You will be the coordinator for the NAVSEA Enterprise Naval Acquisition Development Program (NADP) for Life Cycle Logistics.

    You will provide program oversight by working with NAVSEA HQ and Warfare Center Functional Area Managers to plan and fill billet allocations.

    You will also provide guidance on program policies and processes, analyze monthly reports, and track the progress of NAVSEA LCL NADP employees from recruiting through graduation.

    You will serve as the subject matter expert for the LCL NADP as well as Co-chair of the Logistics Human Capital Working Group and Assistant Editor in Chief for the Logistics Competency's Quarterly Newsletter.

    You will develop and implement comprehensive product support strategies integrating the separate functions of design to cost, Product Support analyses, maintenance planning, modernization, and readiness to meet operational availability thresholds.

    You will manage, monitor, evaluate and coordinate the execution of Integrated Product Support (IPS) to ensure achievement of desired outcomes through development and implementation of appropriate product support arrangements.

    You will resolve complex product support problems by developing, initiating and overseeing the implementation of unique corrective actions, new programs, major program enhancements and/or policy changes.

    You will conduct in depth cost benefit analyses, business case analysis, trade-off studies, and analysis of alternatives performed prior to each change in the product support strategy.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.


    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

    planning or coordinating the execution of Integrated Product Support (IPS) programs for acquisition or Life Cycle Logistics to ensure program policies and process requirements are met.

Education Additional Information This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
