    Quality Assurance Supervisor

    The Role:

    Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the QA Supervisor is responsible for supporting the QA Manager in the oversight of all QA activities. This is a hands-on role, responsible for leading and directing the Quality Assurance team. Position will work closely with the QA Manager in the planning, directing, and coordination of activities to prepare and implement programs that ensure compliance with Company quality processes, procedures, and ISO 9001:2015 certification requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Will provide leadership and direction in support of the QA team
    • Assign tasks to the QA Inspectors
    • Perform quality checks on components and assemblies
    • Perform and document inspections, checks and tests
    • Verify compliance of 5S
    • Review specifications and inspect incoming materials to ensure conformance
    • Train inspectors on proper documentation and inspection techniques
    • Work with QA Manager to create quality plans and procedures
    • Generate and maintain quality records, reports, and logs
    • Coordinates with engineering team to review, validate, and approve BOMs prior to release to purchasing / manufacturing
    • Perform defect analysis utilizing experience in statistical quality process analytical methods
    • Ensure calibrated tools being used meet the accuracy, range, calibration, etc. requirements
    • Maintain all QA tools
    • Communicate and resolve QA issues with inspectors and technicians on a day-to-day basis
    • Participate in the hiring process by reviewing credentials, conducting interviews, and making decisions
    • Resolve personnel problems, issues, or concerns, escalating to the manager level, and/or Human Resources as needed
    • Assess training needs of staff and arrange for or provide appropriate instruction
    • Ensures team works in a in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
    • Generate reports for management and cross functional teams as needed
    • Performs other duties and responsibilities within the scope of the role as assigned

    Qualifications/Skills:

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred
    • Technical training and equivalent work experience and education may be substituted for the degree
    • Five years related experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Two years experience in a leadership role required
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and within a team

    Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel

    Frequently required to lift/push/carry items more than 50 pounds

    Salary: $65,000 - $70,000
