    Position summary:


    The Senior Electrical Engineer demonstrates a wide range of knowledge in electrical engineering theory and applies it to create safe, reliable designs.

    The Senior Electrical Engineer has the ability to analyze system requirements, reduce them to the circuit board level and create designs to fulfill requirements for functionality and applicable standards.


    Relevant Knowledge and Skill requirements:
    The Senior Electrical Engineer can design electrical circuit boards from schematic capture through circuit layout with available design tools.


    They must be able to apply best design practices in small signal, high speed, mixed signal, analog, power and digital designs.

    The Senior Electrical Engineer would ideally be able to create firmware/software to support prototypes and final production designs in embedded applications.

    They are able to design and direct designs with a goal of meeting functionality and standards for ESD, emissions and susceptibility.

    The Senior Electrical Engineer can analyze system issues and propose solutions.

    Key responsibilities
    Architect electrical circuits to meet top level requirements
    Drive electrical designs from concept to requirements gathering and final implementation
    Create electrical design packages including schematics, circuit board layout, bill of materials and supporting documents
    Analyze and review electrical designs with a focus on functionality, reliability and signal integrity to meet system level customer requirements and safety standards
    Direct and contribute to hazard analysis, FMEA and reliability analyses pertaining to electrical design
    Provide technical peer review for electrical development projects
