A trusted client of Randstad's has immediate openings for experienced Accounting Analysts. This is an onsite role in Galesburg, MI. Must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance or related degree.

At least 2-5 years of experience in financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations and implementing effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities involve ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and implementing effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
• Financial Reporting:

Support preparation of financial statements, following generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) adherence, local statutory/tax compliance, and other relevant accounting standards.

• Internal Controls:

Implement and monitor control procedures to minimize the risk of errors, fraud, and financial misstatements.

This might involve regularly reviewing and improving internal processes, ensuring proper segregation of duties, and participating in periodic internal audits.

• Compliance:

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations and reporting requirements.

• Controller Activities:

Support operation/site level controller actions including all closing and accounting activities.

• Data Analysis:

Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues.

• Partnership:

Work with and communicate financial information effectively between operations and global support centers.
