JOB SUMMARY :

Under broad supervision, serves as lead instructor for training personnel. Develops and instructs courses of staff development and training established for enforcement or prevention. Provides specialized training in assigned fields.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Provide general supervision to assigned Public Safety Training Instructor 1's

Conduct quarterly training file audits for assigned facilities and trainers

Determine training needs for assigned facilities by meeting with their leadership and develops a plan of action

Identify specialized training needs for assigned facilities

Review COMSTAT and Training Database information before sent to managers

Teach American Heart CPR/First Aid, Aikido Control Training and Annual In-Service to assigned facility staff when needed

Compile Monthly and CompStat Reports

Monitor Kronos (adjust timecards, monitor, and approve leave)

Concur Travel Request (approve travel request; approve travel reimbursement requests)

Coordinate specialized requested training

Conduct interviews

Maintain an open line of communication with Facility Leadership to address all training needs.

Point of contact for Region in the Absence of Manager at times.
