- Prepare monthly financial statements and lead monthly close
- Provide oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to leadership by analyzing variances
- In collaboration with business unit heads, develop annual budget, and periodic forecasts of portfolio performance
- Responsible for accounting operations, including project accounting and job cost tracking
- Improve efficiencies and develop new processes to ensure that
- Lead monthly closing of portfolio properties
- Develop and monitor internal control guidelines
- Partner with external auditors and assist in gathering necessary documentation for audits
- Ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5-7+ years of financial leadership experience required
- Knowledge of commercial real estate industry
- A true sense of ownership for all work, strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience with any commercial real estate systems a plus (Sage, Yardi, etc.)
- CPA preferred

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring an experienced Controller for our client in Albuquerque, NM.This full-time direct hire position is fully on-site with hybrid accommodation upon achieving tenure with the company.
The Controller will be responsible for managing accounting operations, preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring corporate controls, and developing new processes to ensure compliance and assisting with audits.
This role requires 5-7 years of financial leadership experience and would be a great fit for an applicant with experience in the commercial real estate industry.
