Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring Level 1 experience and Oklahoma or compact RN license.

Responsibilities
Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
Care for obstetric patients with varying degrees of complexity
Level 1 Labor & Delivery experience is required
No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
Responsible for delivering high-quality care to obstetric patients, including monitoring, triage, and interventions
Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team and delegates tasks to support staff
Documents patient responses, assists in exams, performs minor diagnostic procedures, and administers medications
Must be able to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and families
6-month separation is required after a 26-week contract extension before returning for another assignment

Requirements
Active Oklahoma or multistate compact RN license
Minimum of one year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school is required; BSN or MSN preferred
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advance Provider or NRP Instructor certification required
Ability to organize, plan, and coordinate nursing care and effectively communicate
