    Join Our Dynamic Team as a Healthcare Scribe/Assistant

    About Us: Aspire Dermatology is a leading provider of comprehensive dermatology services, offering everything from skin screenings to Mohs surgery. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care and are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Healthcare Scribes/Assistants to support our mission.

    Position Overview: As a Healthcare Scribe/Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality patient care. This multi-functional position involves both clinical and administrative duties, reporting directly to the Office Supervisor.

    Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (flexibility required)

    Compensation: Competitive pay ranging from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on education, certifications, and experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Verify patient information, document medical history, and assist with the purpose of the visit using an iPad.
    • Efficiently enter data into EMR systems during patient visits.
    • Manage phone communications, confirm insurance details, and schedule appointments.
    • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring equipment and instruments are properly sterilized.
    • Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care.
    • Maintain a clean and sanitized clinical environment.
    • Handle routine patient inquiries and manage triage calls, responding effectively to pharmacies and referring providers.
    • Ensure patient confidentiality and abide by HIPAA regulations.
    • Obtain and enter lab results into EMR, calling patients with updates regarding medications and referrals.
    • Work effectively with various software applications, including Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
    • Willingness to commute to various Aspire offices, participating in a minimum of a four-office rotation.

    Qualifications:

    • Completion of a Medical Assisting Program or a minimum of one year experience as a Medical Assistant.
    • Certification in Medical Assisting (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA) preferred.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding (CPT/ICD 10) is advantageous.
    • Influenza vaccination is mandatory.
    • Proficient computer skills and outstanding customer service abilities.
    • Typing speed of 40 WPM with attention to spelling and grammar.
    • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between office locations.
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to apply skills across diverse areas of medical practice.
    • Professional demeanor and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

    Physical Requirements:

    This position requires the ability to sit and stand for extended periods, use hands for various tasks, reach with arms, walk long distances, climb, balance, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities should include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable effective job performance.
