Role description:

As a Program Manager , you will ensure projects adhere to client requirements and business goals by developing and driving project plans, managing cross-functional teams, and coordinating activities within the established project timelines for automotive retail programs.

Your responsibilities will span all project phases:
planning, design/preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover to client. Organization and effective communication are keys to success.


Role accountabilities:
Providing leadership to on-site construction teams overseeing daily construction work.

Leading tendering processes, including development of RFPs, bid review and clarification, and development and execution of design, procurement, and construction contracts.

Ensuring contractors schedule, conduct, and document all construction meetings including construction progress meetings, safety meetings, and inspections including distributing minutes of the meetings.

Reviewing submittals for conformance with contract documents.
Coordinating RFIs as required.
Coordinating design reviews and approvals between owner and contractors.
Managing work to follow regulatory and industry requirements, including multiple permitting jurisdictions.
Validating all (interim) payment requests from the General Contractor and all owner subcontractors.

Reviewing contractors' site-specific health and safety plan and verifying all safety programs align to and are consistent with Arcadis and the owner's health and safety requirements.

Monitoring contractor adherence to safety standards and approved plans.
Maintaining accurate project files, meetings records and correspondence.
Verifying contractors provide all applicable certificates of insurance prior to any work being performed.
Providing weekly and monthly client reporting packages to senior and executive leaders within the client and Arcadis organizations.
Driving financial success of projects and programs across North America.
Leading by example and providing mentorship to young career professionals.


Key Skills:
Have experience working in utility construction and program management.
Have familiarity with automotive retail programs.

Be proficient in construction PMIS systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, P6.Have strong program management and client relationship management skills.

Be self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible; have the initiative to tackle new challenges daily.
Be health, safety, and quality focused.
Be a leader.


Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.10 years of program management experience.5 years of construction or design experience.
