    Assignment Overview

    Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide emergency care coverage at a well-supported critical access facility in Nags Head, North Carolina.

    Enjoy a flexible locum tenens opportunity with a picturesque oceanfront backdrop in the Outer Banks, where your clinical expertise is valued and your schedule supports true work-life balance. Providers will support evening and overnight shifts with inpatient ED coverage only.

    Clinical Environment:
    • Average ED Volume: ~100 patients/day (1.8 pts/hr)
    • Average Inpatient Census: 20
    • ICU/Critical Care Duties: Yes
    • Procedures: Full scope of ED procedures
    • Code Response: Yes
    • Admissions: Managed by Hospitalist team
    Coverage Needed 

    April & May 2026

    7AM-7PM | 10AM-10PM | 2PM-12AM | 6PM-6AM

    Candidate Requirements
    • Licensure: Active NC license & unrestricted DEA
    • Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS
    • Experience: 2+ years in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care settings
    • Clinical Scope: Must be comfortable with critical care and fast-paced ED procedures
    • Shifts: Minimum of 2–3 shifts/month preferred
