    • Development – Controls & Electrical Engineering /Full Time /OnsitePosition SummaryWe are seeking an innovative and highly motivated electrical engineer who will contribute significantly to the development of our advanced cell therapy manufacturing platform.


    The focus of this position is both platform level power and signal distribution and low- to medium- complexity PCB design for Cell Therapy manufacturing products.

    Development tasks will include prototyping, requirements definition, design, implementation, manufacturing, and test.


    This individual will interface across many parts of the company to develop novel products used in the cell therapy and gene therapy world.


    Candidates should enjoy working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, and be prepared to tackle a broad selection of challenges as the company grows.

    ResponsibilitiesCreate, modify and update schematics, BOMs, and PCB layouts for new productsParticipate in architecture design and provide input on system requirementsDrive the selection and design of custom and prefabricated cables and wire harnessesParticipate in and run technical design reviewsProvide input in the compliance process to ensure designs meet applicable regulatory standardsDesign test plans, test fixtures and test procedures for electrical and mechanical assembliesCollaborate with external suppliers and contract manufacturersProvide hands-on support for basic assembly and drive troubleshooting during prototyping and commissioning when neededParticipate in project planning, set personal objectives, and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders on project deliverablesFollow company processes for engineering change orders, design release, and quality documentationRequirementsBachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is required5+ years industry experience developing customer-shippable life science instrumentation or comparable productsExperience as a technical/engineering lead on multiple projectsSolid understanding of electrical design best practices, including electrical noise mitigation techniques and designing for electrical safety and EMI/EMC complianceFamiliar with EDA software such as OrCAD or Altium for schematic capture and layoutFamiliar working in a product design environment with product data management (PDM) and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools as a part of the design lifecycleComfortable developing cable and wire harness designs for system interconnectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentSelf-awareness, integrity, authenticity, and a growth/entrepreneurial mindsetNice to HavesAn understanding of standards such as UL 508A, NFPA 79 or UL and practical experience implementing electrical equipment following these standardsGeneral exposure to control system techniques, PLC controlled equipment, and applicable industrial networks used in control system developmentFamiliar with implementing systems utilizing communication protocols such as EtherCAT, ProfiNet, EtherNet/IP, CAN, RS-232, RS-485$90,000
