    Director, Delivery Operations

    We are seeking a new team member for an exciting opportunity as a full-time Director, Delivery Operations to join a dynamic, creative team at Throughline, a premier visual information design firm. Throughline seeks a candidate who is a self-starter, organized and skilled in strategic communications, operations management, and process oversight. We are strategists, designers, and communication experts committed to igniting innovation, creating positive change and solving business problems.

    The Director, Delivery Operations will oversee the organization's professional services/consulting program in the areas of business operations, strategy, creative delivery, and/or other non-technical practice areas. If you are interested in joining our team, we are looking for "whole-brain thinkers" with a passion for problem solving in areas such as technology, customer experience, logistics, and information systems, balanced with experience in internal and external communications, and a flair for graphic design.

    KEY FUNCTIONS
    • Develop, implement, and maintain Throughline's delivery policies and processes, in partnership with the VP, Client Delivery.
    • Create and maintain foundational delivery documentation across Throughline, such as project briefs, kickoff checklists, project plan templates, and after-action review frameworks.
    • Assist Vice Presidents in estimating resource needs for upcoming projects.
    • Oversee weekly resourcing of employees across projects and portfolios.
    • Implement and oversee a unified project-management tool across portfolios, in partnership with the Technology team and the VP, Client Delivery.
    • Work with account and project managers to set expectations, timelines, milestones, and budgets and ensure they are met throughout the duration of each project.
    • In conjunction with account and project managers, oversee the production process from project kickoff through delivery.
    • Set utilization and revenue metrics for project staff and ensure targets are met.
    • Work with Throughline leadership to continuously align delivery processes with organizational goals and strategic plans.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Candidates with agency (creative, brand, advertising) experience are preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications or another related field.
    • 15+ years professional experience in a relevant role.
    • Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills, including the ability to communicate both in-person and via email.
    • Experience leading and managing projects and teams.
    • Ability to collaborate productively in large interdisciplinary teams, take on several projects, meet deadlines, organize and communicate effectively.
    • Professional demeanor, proactive self-starter and cooperative spirit.
    • Flexible approach to the changing nature of work.
    • Awareness of creative processes and techniques, including digital and design strategies.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience using and implementing project-management software; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
    • Should be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secret security clearance
    • Knowledge or experience working with government clients is a plus
