Job summary
This role is responsible for maintaining on-site equipment and facility infrastructure at PQ Corporation Joliet through their training and experience with mechanical, electrical,a nd instrumented systems.
Responsibilities
- If Journeyman Mechanic: Install, troubleshoot, maintain,
clean,and overhaul rotating equipment including pumps,motors,gearboxes compressors,,agitators,belt conveyors,screw conveyors,vibratory
conveyors,bucket elevators,fans,blowers,rotary valves,couplings,belts/sheaves,chains/sprockets,hamp mills etc. , - If Journeyman Mechanic: Install,troubleshoot,fabricate,maintain,clean,and repair stationary equipment including piping,valves,piping supports insulation,sheet metal angle iron heat exchangers cooling towers,tanks pressure vessels ladders grating trenches handrails doors etc. ,
- If Journeyman Mechanic: Troubleshoot and maintain lube oil systems shaft sealing syst ems and overall equipment/system performance. ,
