Job Summary
The Cloud Operations Lead will oversee the overall health performance security and scalability of our Google Cloud Platform environment overseeing all aspects of GCP operations including provisioning monitoring identity and access management IAM and the DevOps CI/CD pipeline.This role leads manages day-to-day operations ensures availability performance and scalability develops implements operational best practices procedures for GCP manages resource allocation optimization to control costs oversees incident response troubleshooting root cause analysis for GCP-related issues manages vendor relationships with Google other cloud service providers provisions resources using Infrastructure as Code IaC principles tools Terraform develops maintains Terraform modules templates establishes comprehensive monitoring alerting systems defines KPIs SLOs implements automated dashboards to proactively identify address potential issues manages IAM policies roles ensures secure access to cloud resources conducts regular audits identifies addresses security vulnerabilities leads DevOps team in managing optimizing CI/CD pipeline software releases oversees implementation automated build scripts code scanning security vulnerability scanning tools ensures security integrity release process ensuring smooth reliable deployments to GCP implements maintains security best practices for GCP oversees vulnerability scanning remediation efforts ensures compliance relevant industry regulations standards e.g SOC CJIS PUB1075 manages VM server patching updates fosters culture collaboration innovation continuous improvement sets performance goals provides feedback team members has
- Seven years experience computer science information technology related field one year supervisory experience.
- The following degrees may substitute general experience indicated:
- Associate degree six years experience.
- Associate degree including semester credit hours computer science five years experience Bachelor degree four years experience Bachelor degree including semester credit hours computer science three years Master s degree substitutes additional year Master s Computer Science or related field substitutes additional two Doctorate Computer Science or related field substitutes additional two years.
