    We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust automation frameworks that ensure the quality and reliability of our complex web-based cloud applications, desktop software, and device/instrument workflows. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and scientific teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality products that meet rigorous functional, performance, and usability standards. Responsibilities

    * Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents; provide actionable and timely feedback to engineering and product teams.
    * Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test strategies, and test cases.
    * Architect, build, and maintain robust, scalable test automation frameworks for web-based cloud applications, desktop applications and device & instrument workflows.
    * Execute planned and exploratory tests to uncover edge cases, functional defects, and usability issues.
    * Identify, document, and track defects with precise reproducible details.
    * Perform comprehensive regression testing, executing both manual and automated test cases, prior to release.
    * Produce clear reports on test progress, automation coverage, defect trends, and overall product quality.
    * Track and communicate QA metrics to engineering leadership.
    * Evaluate and adopt modern testing tools, technologies, and best practices for automation, performance, and security testing.

    Requirements

    * Proven professional experience in software QA, ideally in senior or lead roles.
    * Demonstrated experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks.
    * Strong understanding of QA methodologies, automation strategies, and SDLC processes.
    * Hands-on experience with automated UI and API testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, testRigor, TestComplete, or similar).
    * Skilled in writing clear and maintainable test scripts.
    * Experience testing both web/cloud and desktop applications.
    * Comfortable working with scientific or data-heavy applications.
    * Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
    * Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
    * Experience with performance, load, or security testing tools.
