Bauer Underground, a leading utility installation contractor, is seeking to partner with a skilled and experienced contract electrician to partner with our team as we expand our offering of services. As a contract electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in various construction projects, with a focus on underground utilities.

Electrician Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Bauer Underground team members, including engineers, technicians, and project managers, to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with established electrical codes.
• Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and switches, to identify hazards or defects.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout and installation of electrical systems.
• Install and connect wiring, conduits, and other electrical components.
• Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure longevity and reliability.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance and repair logs.

Electrician Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or technical school is preferred.
• Valid electrician license issued by the state of Nebraska.
• Proof of bonded and insured status.
• Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in the construction or utilities industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in various weather conditions and environments.
• Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
