Job Summary:
The City of Mesa's Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) is hiring for two vacancies in Application Support.The IT Engineer II provides skilled technical services in support of installation, configuration, testing, integration, and ongoing support for City applications or infrastructure requiring an in-depth knowledge of the City's platforms and environment.
This role applies to Business Solutions; Business Analytics; Database; Desktop Services; Service Desk; Geographic Information System GIS Network Security Unified Communications Server Storage Backup Common duties include performing work on multiple assignments simultaneously such as configuration integration development testing resolution assessment troubleshooting escalation control change system environments analysis planning coordination mentoring developing monitoring implementing data interfaces participating projects leading small medium-scale projects processes strategies computing across networks utilizing tools ensuring all work done alignment city long-term strategies project management duties may include estimating task duration complexity developing plans scheduling informing customer management coordinating efforts reviewing adherence results motivating team members This assignment responsible providing application support integration development applications interfaces reports databases vendor-purchased solutions position performs complex diagnostics troubleshooting designated applications utility services utility billing payment remittance processing metering about ideal candidate has strong familiarity experience application development SQL PL SQL Stored Procedures JavaScript PowerShell ability readily understand business processes assist customers implementations integrations supports
