    Overview

    THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION BUT CANDIDATE NEEDS TO LIVE IN ONE OF THESE STATES: MN, IL, WI, FL, VA, NY, GA, CA, or ID.

    The Compliance Member Specialist provides exceptional support to program teams regarding AmeriCorps member grant compliance, paperwork, and monitoring. The Compliance Specialist stays up to date on AmeriCorps regulations updates and compliance changes and process implementation at the direction of the Compliance Managers. This position will observe confidentiality of all member, program, and organizational information.This is a part-time position working approximately 20 hours per week from late-May to mid-August.



    Responsibilities
      Member timesheet Verification: Ensure member time sheet records are in compliance with AmeriCorps and Ampact rules and regulations. The Compliance Specialist is responsible for effective and timely timesheet review, verification, and resolution for assigned Program department teams to ensure accurate and allowable member hours. Ensure timesheets are corrected and issues are resolved promptly. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding compliance as it relates to time keeping.
    • Member paperwork and file compliance: Compliance Specialists will support all aspects of collection and completion of member paperwork and file compliance. This support includes, but is not limited to the following elements:
      • monitor completion of member paperwork and follow-up if advanced troubleshooting is needed
      • process changes to a member's service term by creating, sending, and monitoring Member Service Agreement Amendments and related processes complete enrollment, suspension, and exit procedures
      • ensure required documentation is maintained and electronically filed for members and sites throughout the year in accordance with federal regulations and Ampact policies and procedures
      • monitor and update databases (QuickBase, UKG, SharePoint, iCIMS, and eGrants) to ensure deadlines are met and information is complete and accurate
      • assist in pre-audits of member files in preparation for commission and other external audits; and
      • ensure organization's processes and federal regulations are followed
    • National Service Criminal History Checks: Support initiation, member follow up, and adjudication of a high volume of National Service Criminal History Checks under the direction of the Compliance Managers.
    • Member Driving Checks: Implement and monitor procedures to ensure members that are required to drive for their service position have a clear driving check on file.
    • Team Support: Under the supervisor's direction, provide additional support as required or needed to meet the team's goals. Participate in team meetings; provide compliance and training updates to the team. Support team project work as needed and other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications

    Minimum Education

    • High School Diploma or equivalent

    • Preferred two years administrative assistance experience Ability for sustained focus on detail while working on repetitive tasks.
    • Completing tasks with a view to continuous improvement.
    • Able to handle a high level of confidentiality.
