- Plan, set direction and establish priorities to effectively manage day-to-day utilities operations using established systems and procedures.
- Identify and implement effective operations strategies, tools, and best practices. Implement actions to improve productivity and compliance to departmental goals.
- Develop annual budget and manage cost to meet operating budget objectives and lower conversion cost.
- Drive continuous improvement in all areas of operations including safety, operations, quality, and cost.
- Provide leadership and professionally manage operations area direct reports.
- Perform evaluations with feedback and manage training and skills progression programs.
- Drive behavior based safety culture and promote healthy, clean and good working environment.
- 5 years of practical experience in manufacturing
- Accredited 4-year university degree required
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Experience managing a chemical, utilities, or manufacturing area desired
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Self-motivated, organized and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Desire to work in a hands-on environment
