- ICU / IR experience required.
- Valid Colorado Registered Nurse license.
- ACLS certification required by end of conditional period.
- BLS required by end of conditional period.
- Provide nursing care in conformance with current recognized nursing practice, procedures, policies and established standards of care.
- Enhance the quality and timeliness of patient care by working cooperatively with other personnel.
- Review all pre-procedural tests to assure patient safety. Incomplete or unusual findings are reported to the radiologist and documented prior to procedure.
- Starts IV's and access and discontinue access of Ports.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously for immediate recognition, interpretation and management.
- Administer intravenous sedatives for procedural/moderate sedation and titrate medications.
- Facilitate inter-departmental communication with staff and physicians.
- Assist Anesthesia during MRI Sedation cases.
- Monitor and assist pacemaker patients during MRI exams.
