    Overview: Medix is actively hiring for a Nurse Practitioner in the Miami, FL area. This position is a direct hire role.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
    • Perform thorough neurological assessments, including physical examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic tests.
    • Interpret diagnostic tests such as MRIs, CT scans, EEGs, and EMGs to aid in diagnosis.
    • Formulate differential diagnoses based on assessment findings and diagnostic results.
    Treatment Planning and Management:
    • Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's diagnosis, symptoms, and preferences.
    • Prescribe medications, therapies, and interventions to manage neurological conditions effectively.
    • Monitor patients' responses to treatment and adjust plans as necessary.
    Patient Education and Counseling:
    • Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
    • Provide counseling and support to address emotional, psychological, and lifestyle aspects of living with neurological disorders.
    Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with neurologists, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
    • Coordinate referrals to specialists and community resources as needed.
    Documentation and Record-Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and healthcare policies.
    Research and Evidence-Based Practice:
    • Stay current with advances in neurology research and evidence-based practices.
    • Participate in research projects, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities to enhance clinical practice.
    Requirements:
    • 3+ years of experience in a neurologic or psychiatric/mental health setting
    • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
    • Active BLS, CPR/AED
    • DEA License required
    • Bilingual, Spanish - required
    Shift: M-F 8am - 5pm

    Compensation: $115K - 130K base salary depending on experience, education & certifications; bonus opportunities available
