Job summary
This role involves working as a Product Design Engineer with responsibilities that include engine design and development failure mode analysis of engine systems subystems and component exp is must reviewing inputs from service application testing team creating failure mode investigations diagnostic strategy problem investigation analysis of cylinder head block power cylinder crack detection coolant oil leakage white smoke from exhaust work with testing quality reliability teams to study metallographic structure contributing to investigating value package introduction vpi vpc pqc program team or fieldbased issues for power cylinder failures or engine block failures applies supports the execution of processes such as critical design decisions system design and validation consideration checklist design review tools such as idfmea fta dva gd t creo ansys workbench required to enable high quality component subsystemlevel design decision making and design refinement support team members in obtaining input their negotiating with crossfunctional crossdiscipline technical experts sme communicate the component subsystemdesign intent through a thorough design review package product preceding technology ppt value package introduction vpi or value package change request vpchr requiring a holistic assessment various designs concepts contributes effectively toward team goals exhibits influence within a work group continues develop proficiency competency areas critical success role
