    Industry leading, well established and growing manufacturer ($4B) is looking for a promotable (groomed for advancement opportunities) Spanish speaking Quality Engineer in the Miami area.

    Candidates that possess an ASQ certification are highly encouraged to .

    This role comes with a very competitive compensation plan commensurate with experience ($90k to $100k) with an annual bonus opportunity and relocation assistance is also available.

    responsibilities:

    • Responsible for operating the Quality Management System (QMS), facilitate writing procedures and implement processes to support QMS development.
    • Provide training and champion the QMS improvement process.
    Oversee effective implementation of standards / processes throughout the business units including any 3rd party accreditations.

    • Ensure the company's processes meet requirements by identifying gaps and work with cross functional teams to convert those findings into corrective measures.
    • Coordinate the review of quality procedures associated with plant continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Help facilitate frequent and detailed process audits while ensuring that the products and processes in a manufacturing setting are consistent and meet both industry and internal standards.
    • Maintain the Quality Manual, Procedures, Work Instructions, Standard Work and ensure contents are appropriate for business.
    • Set up, Organize and Manage the plant(s) internal audit system and the corrective action reporting system.
    • Host external Quality System audits.
    • Provide training on Quality issues and business processes.
    • Collate quality data for monitoring targets.
    • Facilitate problem solving and help drive breakthrough project improvements with cross functional teams.
    • Lead the development and implementation of advanced recurring automated reports and dashboard solutions in support of business objectives

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Persuasive leader. Must have ability to lead and /or support Engineers / Technicians.
    • Train people within own work group.
    • Liaise and communicate with cross functional teams and other service providers.
    • Communicate effectively throughout the shop floor and leadership.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledge of quality systems and EQMS / EHSQ software.
    • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
    • Assertive, flexible and welcomes change.
    • Familiarity with manufacturing and supply chain processes (Example: Audits, Inventories, Warehouse management, WIP, Warranty, Scrap, Re work, Cost of quality)
    • Knowledge of Advanced Product and Process Planning techniques.
    • Must be structured and possess good planning / prioritization skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in collaboration.
    • Analytical mind with business acumen and aptitude for math and statistics.
    • Work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization.
    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree and/or five plus years of relevant work experience.
    • Experience working in Quality Systems / Quality Assurance.
    • Experience working with relevant Enterprise Quality Management Software.
    • Relevant Industry certification(s)
    • Previous experience working in a high mix / high volume manufacturing environment.
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and / or other relational databases, ERP systems for data manipulation and report creation.
    LANGUAGE / COMMUNICATION SKILLS
    Excellent Spanish and English language skills

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    • Proficient in Basic Statistics and use of statistical tools.
    • Skilled in combining figures to produce new measures consistently.
    • Ability to express numeric results as charts, graphs, tables and other graphical elements.

    REASONING ABILITY

    • Attention to detail.
    • Ability to spot incorrect / redundant information and generate useful results.
    • Understand specific requirements of end users and provide best available information to decision makers.
    • Critical thinking and data visualization.
    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
    ASQ Certifications preferred but not a requirement.
